The last year has come throughout my high school career. The last year with this group of friends and being at Los Osos High School. It has been a long four years and my hard-work ethic has kept me up high throughout the first three. Although it will difficult at times, I hope that this year I can also find success in school, starting with this electronic portfolio.
English has always been my weakest subject behind history, science, and mathematics. However, as I put my freshman and junior year essays side by side, I can notice a dramatic difference in analytical ability and a large gap in the level of critical thinking. Not even knowing that my vocabulary and ability to analyze has improved throughout the last three years, the long journey of work led me to the English Literature class. I hope that this electronic portfolio will further refine my intellectual ability in the field of english by allowing me to see the changes in my writing throughout the year, whether through reading responses, essays, or projects. I believe that my interest in poetry will spark my desire to improve more this year than I ever have in the past.
